Protecting Your Data
Miracles ICT operates an applicant database system for candidates. When you register with Miracles ICT via the manxict.careers website or by submitting your CV to us by other means such as email you will be added to our candidate database. Any documents you supply to us such as covering letters, educational or professional certificates, or evidence of identity will similarly be attached to your record in our candidate database.
Our candidate database is protected by multiple layers of login security, is hosted in a secure Tier3 datacentre on the Isle of Man, and is only accessible to authorised Miracles staff.
If you are registered with us you may check and update the data you have submitted to us via our Careers Portal. Login on the Careers Portal home page, and then select Update Profile to view and amend your details including uploading a replacement CV. If you wish to update other documents you have submitted to us then you should send them to us by email.
In addition to the data and documents you give to us we also hold records of which vacancies you have applied for and activities performed in submitting your application for those vacancies. In order to view this information you will need to request an export of your data.
In order to delete your data (if permissible*) from our system you will need to request us to delete you.
We will hold your data for five years since your last registration update, after which time we will remove your data from our database.
We will use your data for the purposes of:
- Matching you to suitable employment opportunities
- Contacting you about suitable employment opportunities
- Contacting you to enquire about your current interest in suitable employment opportunities
- Processing your applications for employment
- Taking up references about you from previous employers, credit reference agencies, criminal records checks etc. as requested by employers
- Maintaining information about our performance as an employment agency
- Accounting to the Isle of Man Government for our activities as an Employment Agency License Holder.
*Employment Agencies are regulated in the Isle of Man, so we are by law required to retain data for sufficient duration to evidence our activities to the Isle of Man Government.
We will not disclose or transfer your personal data to any third party except those Employers to whom we submit employment applications on your behalf unless we are required to do so for the purposes of processing your application for employment such as in the taking up of references, or are required to do so by a competent legal authority – in which cases we will only disclose the minimum information required for those purposes.
